The Greens at Whispering Palms
Whispering Palms is a very special community and being privileged to live here is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. It is a special place because people care about it and work to make it so.
The Greens at Whispering Palms, Inc. is not-for-profit, mutual benefit corporation with the mission to maintain the Declaration of Restrictions for Greens I, II and III which include the single residential homes of Whispering Palms. It works to protect and improve these areas by assuring compliance with the Declaration of Restrictions (DR's) to which all owners agreed upon purchasing their properties. In addition, The Greens monitors and approves structural, landscape and aesthetic changes to these properties through review by the Architectural Committee.
The Greens Board of Directors meets according to the schedule published at the bulletin board by the mailboxes at Morgan Run and published on this web site under the "HomeOwners" tab.
Our meeting format which has been adopted is more casual, allowing for the members and board to interact. All meetings are open. We always make sure there is a quorum if there are matters that require a vote. Generally, items that require a vote are brought with a motion, seconded, discussed, and then voted with Yes, No, or Abstention. There is a Homeowners Forum at the start of each meeting when each guest has 5 minutes to speak (not assignable). All guests are welcome to observe the remainder of the meeting unless it is adjourned to Executive Session. When we have an Executive Session we announce this in the meeting and adjourn into Executive Session generally after the regular meeting.
